With over 250 Years of history, the Birmingham Jewellery Quarter is the ideal location for ‘Thoroughbred’ to personally design and individually create each piece of jewellery to your order.

The Jewellery Quarter’s Gold and Silversmiths have long been responsible for producing some of the most striking and iconic pieces of jewellery, such as the Olympic Medallions and the ‘Order of the Garter’ Star. We draw upon that legacy to provide a collection of designs which are hand crafted in our studios, close to the site of the original Soho Mint, founded by Matthew Boulton in 1788, before becoming Heaton’s Mint in 1850, and finally as the Birmingham Mint.

Standing within the boundaries of the Jewellery Quarter is the Birmingham Assay Office, itself a historical foundation for upholding the quality standard in precious metals since 1773. With such support, ‘Thoroughbred’ can confidently manufacture its designs in silver, gold, and platinum knowing that they will proudly carry the Assay Office’s ‘Anchor’ hallmark stamp as your Guarantee of Quality.
